Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Our Mission

Our goal is to provide compassionate, comprehensive, and personalized psychiatric care of the highest quality, with an emphasis on a proactive approach to prevention and wellness. We strive to educate, empower, and collaborate with each patient in a relaxed, unhurried environment.

What age groups do you see?

We see patients ages 18 through 85 in our concierge practice. Specialized elder care services and home visits are available for ages 55–85, and perinatal support is available for expectant and new mothers.

Home Visits Eligibility:

Eligibility is determined through a provider assessment to ensure home visits are clinically appropriate and aligned with your care needs. For those approved, home visits are available within a 5-mile radius of our practice.

Fees are billed separately from the membership and are due at the time of scheduling.

How Our Concierge Practice Differs From a Traditional Psychiatric Practice

Traditional psychiatric practices are often limited by insurance restrictions, large caseloads, and short appointment times, which can lead to long waitlists, rushed visits, and difficulty reaching your provider. Our concierge model is different—built on quality, access, and personalized attention. With a smaller patient panel, longer appointment times, direct communication, and priority scheduling, we focus on prevention, continuity, and fostering stronger therapeutic relationships. In short, traditional psychiatry treats patients; concierge psychiatry partners with them.

Do I need to be a member to receive treatment?

Ongoing treatment, medication management, and follow-up care are available exclusively to concierge members. Specialty evaluations (such as ADHD or Autism assessments) may be scheduled without a membership and require both an intake and a follow-up appointment, billed separately. However, continued care requires an active membership.

Non-Member Services

Intake (First Visit): $380

Follow-Up: $225 (limited evaluation only; ongoing care requires membership)

Specialty Evaluations: ADHD $999 | Autism $1,999 | ESA $250 | Letters $150

Note: Ongoing medication management is only available with Concierge Membership.

How are home visits billed?

Home visits are available only to members and are billed separately.

Base fee: $500 for a 60-minute visit

Additional time: $100 per 30 minutes beyond the first hour (Max 2 hours)

Currently, home visits are available within a 5-mile radius of the practice.

Do you provide FMLA paperwork or accommodation letters?

Yes, but only for established members under active care.

Employment or Academic Accommodation letters: Free (one per year for members); additional $100 each for members, $150 for non-members.

FMLA documentation: Starts at $350, with additional fees for complex or extended requests.

What if I need urgent help outside of appointments?

Urgent requests are handled promptly on a case-by-case basis, depending on clinical need. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

What is the cost of membership?

Memberships are billed monthly in advance. Enrollment requires a minimum initial commitment of three (3) months

Ages 15– 24: $280 per month

Ages 25 – 44: $315 per month

Ages 45 – 85: $350 per month

Concierge Membership Commitment

When you sign up, you commit to a minimum of three (3) months. Memberships are billed monthly in advance, so you pay at the beginning of each month before receiving services. After the initial term, your plan will automatically renew unless you terminate it. We require a 30-day notice for membership terminations. Our concierge services are designed to provide patients with personalized, high-quality care, ongoing access, and dedicated support.

Is the membership fee refundable if I cancel?

All concierge membership fees are non-refundable and are billed at the start of each billing period. We also require a minimum of 30 days’ notice for any cancellation. This policy enables us to ensure continuity of care, maintain patient availability, and honor the time reserved in our schedule.

Does the membership fee cover services?

Yes. The concierge membership fee covers a wide range of premium services, including priority booking with same-day or next-day appointments whenever possible, secure messaging and brief check-ins between sessions, and ongoing monthly appointments/coordination to ensure continuity of care. Membership also offers flexible scheduling options, which may include limited evening or weekend availability, as well as the benefit of a smaller patient panel—allowing for more personalized attention and an enhanced overall experience.

Please note that the membership fee does not include certain specialty services such as ADHD evaluations, autism evaluations, neuropsychological testing, or other specialized assessments. These services are billed separately.

Do you accept insurance?

No. This is a self-pay concierge practice. We do not bill insurance, and we do not provide superbills for reimbursement. By working outside the insurance system, we are able to deliver direct, personalized care without the restrictions or time limits often imposed by insurance companies.

Do I still need health insurance if I enroll with you?

Yes. Your concierge membership is not a substitute for health insurance. The membership fee covers enhanced access, personalized services, and ongoing mental health support, but it does not replace general medical or emergency coverage. We strongly recommend that all patients maintain active health insurance to cover routine medical care, hospital services, specialty referrals, and emergencies.

Will my private insurance or Medicare reimburse my annual fee?

No. The membership quarterly fee is not covered by private insurance or by Medicare.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept credit cards, debit cards, and ACH bank transfers. Payment is due at the time of booking or service.

Can I use my HSA/FSA account?

Yes, many members use HSA or FSA cards for eligible mental health services. Check with your plan administrator.

Are evaluations included in the membership fee?

Evaluations such as ADHD and ASD are offered as specialty services. These are billed separately at premium rates to reflect the time, detail, and comprehensive nature of the assessments.

Labs, Specialist Fees & Hospitalization

All procedures and services—whether provided in our office or by outside providers or facilities—are billed directly by the clinician or organization performing them.

Please Note:

Specialty referrals may be needed for complex medical issues.

Some labs or imaging may need to be ordered through a collaborating provider.

How long are appointments?

Psychiatric Evaluations: 60–90 minutes

Medication Management & Follow-up: 30–45 minutes

Therapy/Counseling: 45–60 minutes

Extended sessions: 75–90 minutes

How quickly can I get an appointment?

Premium Members are guaranteed an appointment within 3–5 business days of their request and also enjoy the convenience of self-scheduling through our secure portal.

How Appointments Work

To make care simple and accessible, all intake appointments are held virtually. If needed, in-office visits will be arranged in conjunction with your provider, based on your clinical needs. Please note that in-office visits are by appointment only and must be scheduled in advance.

Can I schedule appointments online?

Yes! Members can easily self-schedule their initial and follow-up appointments online. When needed, your provider will help coordinate recurring follow-up appointments through our secure online portal.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. We provide both in-person appointments (by appointment only) and secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth visits. Each option is designed for your convenience, privacy, and comfort.

What happens if I miss my membership renewal date?

Membership begins with a three-month commitment. After the initial term, your plan will automatically renew on a month-to-month basis unless you terminate it. Once terminated, you will lose access to benefits and will be unable to book services until you renew your membership.

Does my membership include coordination with schools, employers, or other providers?

Yes. Premium Members receive 1 hour per quarter of included care coordination.

What if I’m healthy and rarely need psychiatric care?

That’s wonderful—and it’s actually our goal! We want to help you maintain stability, prevent crises, and stay on track with your mental health. Even if you feel well now, life can change quickly. Stress, unexpected events, or new challenges may arise, and when they do, it’s crucial to have reliable access to care.

With membership, you don’t have to wait weeks for an appointment or struggle to get your questions answered. Whether you need a quick medication adjustment, guidance on managing stress, or reassurance about new symptoms, you can reach us directly by phone, text, or email.

Many patients find that the true value of concierge psychiatry isn’t just in handling emergencies—it’s in the peace of mind that comes with knowing support is readily available, consistent, and tailored to their needs.

Yes, it’s really that simple—and that convenient.

What is intramuscular (IM) therapy?

At EWS, we also offer IM therapy, which involves administering vitamins or medications directly into the muscle, allowing for more efficient absorption than oral supplements.

What types of IM injections do you offer?

IM therapy is available as an additional service and billed separately from membership fees. Pricing is discussed during your consultation.

Is IM therapy included in the concierge membership?

We offer Vitamin B12, Vitamin D (for mood and wellness support), weight management injections, and other clinically appropriate IM therapies tailored to each patient’s needs.

What IM therapy services are available?

Our concierge practice offers a range of intramuscular (IM) therapies designed to support overall wellness, promote mood stability, and facilitate preventive care. These injections can be a valuable option for patients who prefer a more holistic or adjunctive approach to traditional pharmacotherapy.

Available IM therapies include:

Vitamin B12 – Supports energy, focus, and nervous system health.

Vitamin D – Helps regulate mood, strengthen bones, and support immune wellness.

Weight Management Injections – Support metabolism and aid in weight control as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. Maintaining a healthy weight, preventing weight regain, and supporting long-term metabolic health are key. It’s about balance, stability, and ongoing wellness.

Weight Loss Injections – Target appetite regulation, metabolism, and fat processing. Options may include: Lipotropic injections (“fat-burning shots”) – Blend of nutrients that help the liver process fat more efficiently; B12 + metabolic boosters – Enhance energy while supporting sustainable weight loss. Adjunctive medications when appropriate – Tailored to your individual medical profile and goals. These injections are always part of a larger, comprehensive weight management plan that may include nutrition, activity, and behavioral support.

NAD+ Injections – Improves cellular energy, reduces fatigue, supports stress resilience, and provides anti-aging support.

Hormone-supportive IM injections – Tailored options for premenstrual (PMS), perimenopausal, and postmenopausal patients to help manage mood changes, anxiety, hot flashes, and other hormone-related symptoms.

Mood-supportive injections – For patients with depression, anxiety, or stress who may benefit from targeted vitamin or nutrient support.

Metabolic Support – Certain IM therapies may help improve insulin sensitivity, support prediabetes management, and contribute to prevention strategies.

*All injections are administered safely in our office, conveniently shipped to your home, or—within 5 miles of our office—for an additional fee, provided in the comfort of your own home. Each treatment is personalized to your needs and carefully designed to complement your overall care plan.

How is IM therapy different from IV therapy?

Unlike IV therapy, which delivers fluids directly into the vein, IM therapy delivers targeted nutrients or medications into the muscle. We do not provide IV therapy in our practice.

Who can benefit from IM therapy?

IM therapy may be appropriate for patients experiencing fatigue, low mood, stress, or vitamin deficiencies, as well as those seeking metabolic support, weight management assistance, or preventive strategies for conditions such as prediabetes. It can also be helpful for individuals navigating hormonal changes (e.g., PMS, perimenopause, or postmenopause) or those looking to enhance energy, mood stability, and overall wellness.

All recommendations are personalized following a comprehensive assessment to ensure safety and clinical appropriateness.

How often would I need an injection?

Frequency varies depending on your health goals, lab results, and treatment plan. Some patients may benefit from weekly or monthly injections.

Disclaimer

For informational purposes only. Intramuscular (IM) therapies are wellness-focused and not a substitute for professional medical care. Individual results may vary. All treatments require a medical consultation and are provided only when clinically appropriate. If you are experiencing severe symptoms or a medical emergency, please call 911 or seek immediate care. Services such as IV therapy, IM therapy, and medically supervised weight loss are for wellness support only and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Results vary, and treatments are provided only after medical consultation and approval by a licensed provider.

Supervised Weight Loss FAQs: Do I need labs before starting?

In some cases, yes. Your provider may recommend labs to better understand your overall health and ensure your treatment plan is safe and effective. This step helps us personalize your program even further.

What happens during the initial consultation?

Your first visit is a virtual consultation with one of our medical providers. We’ll take a thorough, comprehensive medical history, discuss your challenges and goals, and determine whether labs are needed before you begin.

How long is the program?

We offer both a 6-week plan and a 12-week plan. During your consultation, your provider will help you decide which option best fits your needs and lifestyle.

How will I receive my treatment?

Your weight loss medication will be shipped directly to your home for convenience and privacy.

Is it easy to administer the injections?

Yes! Treatments are designed to be simple and safe for self-injection. We’ll provide detailed instructions, and our team is always available if you have questions.

What if I don’t feel comfortable giving myself the injection?

No problem. For an additional fee, we can come to your home (within 5 miles of our office) and administer the treatment for you.

Will I get support beyond medication?

Absolutely. We provide bi-weekly follow-ups to monitor your progress, plus nutritional and lifestyle guidance to help you make lasting changes that go beyond the scale.
